Sept. Church Art show update….. (photos too!)

October 1, 2007

Well…the show is over and I have mostly recovered. I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised by this local church art show! The people - volunteers, vendors, and customers - were all wonderful to be around and made the day as fabulous as the weather! (We did luck out with perfect weather didn’t we?)

I went to this show thinking that I would simply get my name out there, meet a few people and go home with just a few less business cards, but I have to say…. most people were not only in the mood to talk to me, but also to spend some of their hard earned money with me! Overall, I could not have asked for a better day! In the end, I made some money, some friends, and got to spend the day with my buddy Dave. Dave’s in the photos….Dave is awesome…my lucky charm so to speak and nobody I would rather spend a day in a tent with!
I got lots of feedback on my new setup …..all of it positive! Everyone who mentioned it, and there were quite a few, let me know how they loved this setup because it was neat, organized, and they didn’t have to sort around on tables to see my work. It was all right there in their faces so to speak! lol So, given the overall success and approval of the jewelry buying community in South Windsor, CT, I will be keeping this booth setup for awhile for sure! (It also was a snap to setup and tear down! I had only to take one tent, one table, 6 sets of grids, and 3 plastic totes (one for the jewelry already pinned to the boards, one for office and table top stuff, and one for displays and photos, etc.) Took only about an hour to setup all together, and that included making last minute tweaks of where things were going to go, and maybe half and hour to tear down with the help of Dave and my husband Gary of course!- Gary got to spend a fun-filled day with the kids while I was at the show! Lucky Gary! lol)
Anywho…I won’t take up any more time with the details…here’s the pics…. and yes, if I get my way, Dave will be a permanent part of the setup! lol (He’s also my “Tattoo guy” AND the one who custom tie-dyed the red table skirt for me- gotta’ love Dave!)

New Booth Setup Photos!!

September 7, 2007

Well…the basics are finished! As usual, the process had brought me a flood of new and even better ideas! I found that I had alot more room than I thought I did! I know from past experience that the amount of jewelry in my inventory right now would be cramped and over crowded looking on tables and am delighted to find that I have even more room than I need with my new “system”!

This means that I can now create some posters and banners and that I WILL indeed have room for my customary dozen red roses!

Now all that is left to do is to finish making the proper Name and Price markers for my work and to decide which pieces get their photos done in posters! Decisions, decisions, decisions…..

So without further ado…..

(Click the pics to see the entire shot in full size….wordpress cuts them off)

Announcement!

August 19, 2007

I am sorry to announce that my shop on Ruby Lane has been closed.  I have decided to focus my energies and time devoted to my own web sites and to doing some in person shows and private events in the local area instead.  I miss the direct contact with my customers that is so vitally important in selling art and look forward to meeting more of you.   This also allows for you, the customer, admirer, the “competition”, etc. the opportunity to examine, touch, try on, and experience my work in a tactile atmosphere and form a connection with the artist - me.

So…. while you can still purchase my work online through my web sites (rosesofonegarden.com and jewelrydestiny.com ) you will now be able to access my work on a more personal level locally as well!

Till next time…

HUGE Summer Jewelry Sale! Don’t miss this one!

July 4, 2007

My new shop, Lori Bouchard at Ruby Lane, is holding a huge Summer Sale!  You will not want to miss out on this one….some items are at wholesale prices!!!  This may NEVER happen again!  My work is one of a kind and almost all items will never be reproduced.  Once they are gone….they are gone.

Sale prices are only valid at my Ruby Lane shop.  Full prices still apply at other venues.

I do not usually like having “sales”, but I want to offer a one time chance to make owning a piece of one of a kind art jewelry more affordable for every woman!  So…if you had your eye on a piece, act now!

Visit my shop: http://www.rubylane.com/shops/loribouchard

Till next time,
Lori B.
