Sept. Church Art show update….. (photos too!)
October 1, 2007Well…the show is over and I have mostly recovered. I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised by this local church art show! The people - volunteers, vendors, and customers - were all wonderful to be around and made the day as fabulous as the weather! (We did luck out with perfect weather didn’t we?)
I went to this show thinking that I would simply get my name out there, meet a few people and go home with just a few less business cards, but I have to say…. most people were not only in the mood to talk to me, but also to spend some of their hard earned money with me! Overall, I could not have asked for a better day! In the end, I made some money, some friends, and got to spend the day with my buddy Dave. Dave’s in the photos….Dave is awesome…my lucky charm so to speak and nobody I would rather spend a day in a tent with!
I got lots of feedback on my new setup …..all of it positive! Everyone who mentioned it, and there were quite a few, let me know how they loved this setup because it was neat, organized, and they didn’t have to sort around on tables to see my work. It was all right there in their faces so to speak! lol So, given the overall success and approval of the jewelry buying community in South Windsor, CT, I will be keeping this booth setup for awhile for sure! (It also was a snap to setup and tear down! I had only to take one tent, one table, 6 sets of grids, and 3 plastic totes (one for the jewelry already pinned to the boards, one for office and table top stuff, and one for displays and photos, etc.) Took only about an hour to setup all together, and that included making last minute tweaks of where things were going to go, and maybe half and hour to tear down with the help of Dave and my husband Gary of course!- Gary got to spend a fun-filled day with the kids while I was at the show! Lucky Gary! lol)
Anywho…I won’t take up any more time with the details…here’s the pics…. and yes, if I get my way, Dave will be a permanent part of the setup! lol (He’s also my “Tattoo guy” AND the one who custom tie-dyed the red table skirt for me- gotta’ love Dave!)
