Quote of the week…#15
May 28, 2007“The absence of flaw in beauty is itself a flaw.”
Havelock Ellis

Okay …I am well aware that it has been some time now since I have written anything meaningful…..but… it may be just a bit longer still.
School is …..well…school. You all have been in school and know what I mean! (I am working on my Bachelor’s in Accounting at the moment - need to exercise both the left and right brain!!)
I can see a break in the clouds though….in another week or so, I will be down to only two classes and so may have some more time available to “talk out loud” to the world.
So…don’t lose hope, don’t give up on me, and don’t go away…..oh and don’t change that channel!
Stay tuned…there will be more to come soon!
Until then…enjoy the weather…whatever it may be wherever you may be!

Art is the desire of a man to express himself, to record the reactions of his personality to the world he lives in.
~ Amy Lowell -US critic & poet (1874 - 1925)

“You practice an art to make your soul grow, not to make a career, be famous or be rich. It’s the process of becoming. It’s as essential to the growing up process as food, sex or physical exercise. You find out who you are that way. I used to challenge audiences, but I don’t face them much anymore. I’d say, “Write a poem tonight. Make it as good as you possibly can. Four, six or eight lines. Make it as good as you can. Don’t tell anybody what you’re doing. Don’t show it to anybody. When you’re satisfied it’s as good as you can make it, tear it up in small pieces and scatter those pieces between widely separated trash receptacles and you will find out you have received your full reward for having done it.” It’s the act of creation, which is so satisfying. “ -Kurt Vonnegut
